Who Are We?

The Tucson Twist-Its is a competitive jump rope team that has been performing, teaching, and competing in Tucson for over 20 years. Our current team ranges in age from 6 to 19, and both our coaches are former jumpers.

Our Mission

The Tucson Twist-Its jump rope team provides opportunities for jumpers to improve their physical fitness, build teamwork and life skills, and participate in community enrichment through competitive and performance jump rope.

Meet Our Coaches

Lauren has been jumping since 1998 and coaching since 2006.  She has performed in Mexico, South Korea, Vietnam, and all over the US.  Lauren is currently teaching at the local community college.  She lives in Tucson with her husband, son, two fuzzy cats, and an adorable corgi.  Lauren is passionate about providing opportunities for the next generations of jumpers. 

Roger has been jumping with the Twist-Its since 2011 and coaching since 2021. He has traveled to Sweden, Norway, Japan, and many U.S. states to compete, perform, and teach jump rope. Roger is currently attending the University of Arizona, pursuing degrees in Statistics & Data Science and Information Science. He enjoys spreading the word of jump rope to as many people as he can!
